I had to do a compression test on a Mini Cooper. Like a lot of cars, the 4 cyl Mini has her spark plugs deeply recessed down narrow tubes. I almost bought another kit and ordered the extension as an accessory, but then I found this kit, which included the extension. The hose and extension have std 14mm ends. I only needed the deep 14mm adaptor, but it’s nice to know I have the 12mm & 10mm if and when they’re needed. Worked perfectly, but be sure to follow the direction that warns you NOT to use a wrench when assembling or there may be weeping and knashing of teeth. I wish it came with a usable case of some sort, but judicious use of a sharp knife or razor when opening renders the awful plastic packaging (the type that sends thousands of people to the emergency room each year) somewhat reusable.

Seems accurate (consistent anyway) & high quality. Would have given it five stars, but it’s made in Taiwan.
Troubleshooting tip: For low readings on all cylinders, or greater variance than recommended: take Shrader valve out, reinstall tester, rotate piston to top dead center by hand. Pressure will be lower, but look for the following: Pressure fails very slowly-compression is satisfactory. Pressure fails moderately or fast, use a tbsp of motor oil to check rings. Still leaky? If it’s valves, you might here hissing at intake or exhaust manifold. If head gasket faulty, & pressure leaking into water jacket, you might get bubbles at radiator opening. If not leaking into water jacket, you might hear a slight hissing between the cylinders
