Iam interested in purchasing a good Autoscanner. Is the Innova 3160 a good scanner for Mercedes Benz(2002)yr?

This reader read my codes correctly, told me which cylinder was malfunctioning, and what was happening. This device operates exactly as described, is easy to use, and works trouble-free.
I would not have easily confirmed a suspected leaking head gasket without this device reliably reporting the failure mode through its various tests. Intelligent use of this reader will help you know when it is time to take your vehicle in for professional repair or if you can do the fix yourself. A real edge when the repair shop knows that you’ve properly identified what’s really wrong with the vehicle when you take it in.
The caveat is that the code scanner user must understand what the codes mean, and how the code report fits into the complete picture of the engine’s performance. It is a significant tool in the home mechanic’s arsenal when used correctly.

Easy to use code reader that works like a charm on a 2001 F250 Diesel truck.
Quick diagnosis to confirm that a sensor in the left front wheel was disconnected.
2 clicks and the ABS light tyrned off again,
Use it 2 or 3 times and it pays for it self.

So easy to use, so easy to read, plenty of support on line.
This is a great investment if you don’t have a “Favorite” shop where you can take your vehicles to for repair.
I have been burned one time too many by the local garage, be it a major dealership or a mom and pop shop.
This scanner more than paid for itself the day UPS delivered it.
Now family, friends and neighbors bring their vehicles here to plug in.
You have to have a little better than basic understanding of vehicles and engines but not much more.
Plenty of on-line help to decifer codes and make your own inexpensive repairs.

Great Product. Have used it on 5 car already either to pick up live data or to get codes because of the engine light came on. Well worth the purchase. Easy hook up to computer for downloading codes and software help get more information on the code.
