I would like to see if it works on Geo Prizms. Geo Prizm is made by NUMMI (GM and Toyota joint venture). Any ideas?

I have a 1994 1/2 ton c1500 Chevrolet Pickup with a 6.5L diesel engine. I only found out after reading in the manual that it won’t work on diesel engine. That was not said in the descriptionon Amazon website.

This product would not work on my 94 Pontiac although it is listed as a vehicle it will scan on. I have read in forums that other purchasers suffer the same fate –

It is a great tool for what it does. It is very simple and compact and light. It will flash the light on the dash and give you a flashing code that you look up but you might be surprised to know that all you really need is a paper clip and the knowledge of which 2 pins in the OBD1 connector to short together and you will save money. Please be sure you know which 2 pins before you try anything maybe even if you have a technician that you know or go to could give you some incite but they might not. The pins that must touch for engine codes are A and B. For ABS(anti-lock braking system) you must touch pins A and H. Hope this helps you in your diagnosis.

This product is inexpensive and does the basic job its intended. if you are a weekend mechanic on older vehicles it works fine. Nothing fancy, just works.
